Type Of Character: Original
Name: Ekirei (Eki for short) Akechi
Age: 16
Height: 5'8''
Weight: 134 lbs
Race: Neko
Hair Color: Black (with the odd white stand here and there)
Eye Color: Gold
Appearance:
Weapons: None but his hands and feet. Of course, he doesn't have any special interest or experience in fighting, so most of the time he tries to avoid any sort of confrontation by any means possible.
Magic/Skills: Ekirei knows nothing of magic. His skills are mostly simply, and come along with his race. He has heightened agility, and is able to jump farther than most men his age. Whenever taking a fall, he somehow manages to land on his feet, safe and sound. There is a limit on his reflex. (Ex. If he were to fall from a 3 story building or higher, he wouldn't land on his feet. Anything below, he can manage to walk away without any pain.)
Homeland: (None in specific.. so I'll just say The Modern World.)
History: The story behind Ekirei Akechi is not as special as many would like to hope, for a misfit. Brought into the world, the young boy was quickly given up for adoption by his parents, for they could not go through the trouble of affording him while they lived in the gutter. They believed he was better off in a home that could raise him properly. He was a special child, being the only one around town at the early age with catlike ears. It was at a time when nekos like him were being criticized, and eventually forced to slavery if unable to bring anything back to the community. From house to house, people welcomed and abandoned Ekirei. They thought having a little boy that resembled a kitten seemed like a cute idea, but with other children that'd become his brothers and sisters hated the idea, and abused him to conjure up a bad living space for a kid. At the age of 8, Ekirei was finally brought into a home where there were no siblings to beat on him. His foster parents seemed to be very down to earth with him. At 13, Ekirei was already slowly shaping into the person he felt comfortable being, but his parents didn't like the idea. He ignored their attempts to change his ways, to the point where they kicked him out of the house, and made him move into the backyard in the old trailer they had for when they went camping in the summer. At least this gave Eki some space, but the neglect he was punished with hurt much more than it seemed. Now, working a minimum wage job at a fast food restaurant to earn money, Eki intends on saving up enough to move out and into his own home, where he could do what he wants, when he wants. Of course, school is also another obstacle for him to surpass. He's a loner when it comes to a social life, but at least he has above average marks, being it the only thing he really focuses on. He keeps himself occupied at home with writing short stories, poems, and songs, composed of his own reflections on events that pass. His dream career is to work in the acting industry. He feels that when he takes the role of a fictional character and becomes him, he can forget about the real Eki, who is shunned by everyone he comes in contact with.
Attitude: Ekirei is a very reserved individual, who is not used to being around others. In a social enviroment, you could easily find him far off by himself, seemingly out of place. He understands he resides in a world that tends to not welcome him, being a "freak" in the eyes of the rest of the world. He speaks very few words, and is naturally timid when a diamond in the rough actually wishes to converse with him. He's intensly emotional, taking every little thing said about him seriously, and doesn't bare well with jokes.
