(This Thread, and all others in modern by me, will be from my character Victor Davion. I am waiting for one or two people who wish to roleplay with me on this one. If you are interested, please pm me. Otherwise, just enjoy
A new day begins for Victor Davion. He wakes up in his velvet pajamas and slowly drinks his freshly brewed Columbian coffee that his maid Amaretta made for him. He sips it slowly while watching his wife Elena sleep softly.
“I am so ashamed for what I have to do,” Victor whispers. “It’s not that I have to seek revenge for my parents death. That’s nothing to be ashamed about. It’s that I’ll actually have to leave you behind on this one… I can’t risk you getting hurt.”
“She’ll understand sir, you chose a strong wife.” Amaretta says quietly. “You have been trained by this great nation’s military for a decade, and in that time you rose through the ranks all the way to Lieutenant Commander. Elena has nothing to worry about, you’ll get home in one piece.” She smiles and touches Victor’s arm.
Victor smiles back at Amaretta. “Well, I suppose I better get changed. Can you bring my desert combat fatigues? I’ll be leaving shortly.” He ponders for a moment. “Actually, wait a moment. Did you get those flowers I asked you to pick up?” He asks while walking out of the master bedroom hand carved, solid, oak double doors.
Amaretta follows closely behind and closes the doors silently. “I’m sorry sir, I couldn’t find any Day Lilies anywhere. I know they are her favorite, but I found you something else instead.” She hands him an unmarked box wrapped in light green paper. “This was supposed to be for her birthday, but I think it would better deserved on a day like today.”
Victor sighs with relief and grins. “You are an angel Amaretta. An angel who deserves a raise.” With that, he winks at Amaretta, who blushes and shakes her head timidly, and leaves the box on Elena’s place at the dining room table when he arrives there and opens a new box of Count Chocula.
Just then, Michelle, his gardener, walks in with her hands behind her back. “Guess what I found for the queen of the house today sir?” She asks with glee.
Victor turns around to look for Amaretta, instinctively spotting one of her clever tricks. “That woman sure knows how to make every day of my life a comfortable hell.” He says jokingly. “So you want me to guess, hmm? Well, I’d have to say you found some Day Lilies for the queen, would I be correct?” He says as he pours a bowl of his cereal.
“Wrong!” She says with a confused look. “I found you a grown up cereal, not that silly chocolate mess. Come on sir, you know that Day Lilies don’t just grow everywhere, especially not in our garden.”
“I will not go a single day without my Count Chocula, thank you very much. It’s the reason I’m still alive you know.” He says with a smirk.
“Yes, yes. We’ve all heard the story of how the calming chocolaty smell on your breath distracted and confused a tiger who was about to tear you limb from limb.” She says with a laugh. “Do you really expect me to believe that?”
Victor smiles devilishly, knowing that she just fell for his trap. “I don’t expect anything of you my dear! Just a few Day Lilies in my gardens would be nice…”
Realizing she has been foiled again, Michelle tosses her shoulder-length brown hair around her as she briskly walks out of the kitchen, throwing the disgusting oat and wheat cereal in the garbage.
Victor pours some milk into his cereal, sits down and starts eating. “It’s going to be hell without you, Elena. But it would be hell even more so with you there.”
